I thought I have another crack at this. Having it taking off is a more favourable pose.

This isnt going to work. I can't push the hills back and keep all the colours.  The plane also looks weak with it (correctly) leaning on a pontoon.

Decided to work this more.  I wondered if I could make the stupidly red earth work at all with the sky.

These two are kind of a progression, the top one evolved from the bottom one. Perspective is a bit off still .

I'm quite pleased with this one. I'll probably work into it some more.
